Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 9, 2026
Tagtical Solutions ("Tagtical Solutions," "we," "us," or "our") provides a service for creating, customizing, and managing QR codes and related digital links (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from users of the Service, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
a. Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Your password is encrypted and is never visible to us in readable form.
b. Content You Create
When you create a QR code, we store the information you enter to build it — for example, a destination web address, contact details, Wi-Fi credentials, event information, or similar content depending on the type of QR code you choose. This content is yours; we store it so your QR code continues to work and so you can edit it later.
c. Files You Upload
If you upload a logo, image, or document to include with a QR code, we store that file in order to display or serve it as part of your QR code.
d. Scan Information
Each time a QR code created through the Service is scanned or accessed, we automatically record limited technical information about that visit — such as the date and time, the referring link (if any), the type of device or browser used, and an approximate, coarse location derived from that request. This applies to anyone who scans a QR code, including people who do not otherwise use the Service or hold an account with us.
Separately, for vCard and Business Page QR codes and cards specifically, after the page has loaded the scanner's browser may show its own standard permission prompt asking whether this site can access their device's precise location. This only happens if their browser and device support it, and nothing is collected unless they explicitly allow it — declining has no effect on the page or its content. If allowed, we record that precise location against the scan and make it available to the QR code's owner as a pin on a map, so they can see approximately where their cards are being tapped. We do not display exact coordinates, and this location is tied to the individual scan record, not to any personal profile of the scanner. No other QR code type requests this.
e. Account Activity
We keep basic records of account activity, such as when your account was created and when you last signed in.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate, maintain, and provide the features of the Service, including generating and displaying your QR codes and their content;
- Provide you with scan counts and related activity for the QR codes you create;
- Communicate with you about your account, such as confirming your email address or responding to support requests;
- Understand, in the aggregate, how the Service is being used, so that we can identify what is working well, diagnose problems, and guide future improvements to the Service; and
- Maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of the Service.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or the content of your QR codes to any third party, for any purpose, under any circumstances. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.
We do rely on a small number of third-party service providers to operate the Service itself — for example, companies that provide our database and account-authentication infrastructure, and companies that host the application. These providers process information solely on our behalf, solely to the extent necessary to deliver the Service to you, and are not permitted to use it for their own independent purposes.
We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, such as in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tagtical Solutions, our users, or the public.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your information is stored using reputable third-party infrastructure providers that maintain their own technical and organizational security measures. We take reasonable steps designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Access to account and usage data within our organization is limited to what is necessary to operate and support the Service. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information and QR code content for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide the Service to you. You may permanently delete your account, and all associated QR codes, scan history, and uploaded files, at any time from your account settings. You may also request deletion by contacting us, subject to any records we are required to retain for legal or accounting purposes.
6. Your Choices
You may review and update the content of any QR code you have created at any time through your account. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, as described above.
7. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to operate your account session securely. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or tracking purposes.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after any such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
10. Contact Us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how your information is handled, please contact us.
